As she smooched the actor—who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown—I couldn’t help but notice her racy chainmail dress.
Of course, this wasn’t just any chainmail dress. Jenner’s plunging frock—that featured a completely open back, floral appliques at the sides, and a sexy thigh-high slit—came from Versace’s spring/summer 1999 runway. In fact, Elizabeth Hurley wore a pink version of the look at the 1999 CFDA Awards. That same year, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss donned chainmail minis at a Versace party in London.
Jenner, meanwhile, let the sparkly look be the focal point, opting for minimal jewelry and soft glam. She donned rosy cheeks and a dainty pink lip, which was complemented by her long dark tresses that she had styled in loose curls.
While Jenner and Chalamet—who have been romantically linked since 2023—did not walk the red carpet together, the lovebirds were seated at the same table and were photographed kissing and embracing. Jenner also took photos with Chalamet’s A Complete Unknown costar Elle Fanning and her sister, Dakota Fanning. Elle looked like a princess in Balmain, and Dakota was radiant in a red Dolce & Gabbana gown. Dakota was nominated for Best Supporting Role in a Television Series for her role in Netflix’s Ripley—but lost to Jessica Gunning in Baby Reindeer.
Chalamet, meanwhile, lost to Adrien Brody’s performance in The Brutalist. For the big night, Chalamet looked dapper in a Tom Ford suit, which he paired with a dotted tie that he wore wrapped around his neck like a scarf.
