In another bombshell Netflix true crime documentary, one might want to know where Melanie Wilking is. In Dance For The Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult, the TikTok star opened up about her strained relationship with her sister and how a “cult” management swept her up.
Melanie and Miranda Wilking rose to fame on TikTok after they posted videos of them dancing. However, things started to fall apart when Miranda ceased to appear in their joint TikTok account. She had a drastic makeover and started to be more involved with 7M Films, founded by Robert Shinn.
Melanie and her and Miranda’s parents, Kelly and Dean, hosted a livestream alleging Miranda straying away from their family because of her commitments to 7M Films. The family said that Miranda cut off almost all contact with her former friends and family, even blocking her grandmother from her social-media pages. Melanie used to be part of the company, but left.
“These people are not controlling their lives,” Melanie Wilking said in the video of her sister and her husband. “Someone else is controlling their lives and they are all victims of this. It would be so easy to forget…if she doesn’t care about us anymore, but we know that’s not her.”
Where is Melanie Wilking now?
Melanie Wilking is still making TikTok dance videos. She currently has over 3.5 million followers on the platform and frequently showcases her partner and parents in her videos.
Days before the release of Dance For The Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult, Melanie married her longtime boyfriend NFL player Austin Ekeler. “Marriage to me means a partner who will always be there for you through thick and thin. It’s getting to go through life with your best friend right by your side, creating experiences and a family together,” she told People about the wedding.
She was previously in a long-distance relationship as Austin played for the Los Angeles Chargers and Miranda was based in Las Vegas. However, the two will move together to Virginia as Austin signed with the Virginia Commanders. “This will finally be the chapter where we are doing it all together. Of course we will both have to travel in the future, but we will now call the same place home — Virginia during the season and Vegas during the off-season,” she said.
Miranda attended her sister’s wedding, but neither of them posted pictures with each other. “Had such a great time at my sister’s wedding✨💍,” Miranda captioned the post of her posing in front of the venue. Some fans noticed her sister’s absence. “We needed a shot of you and the bride,” one fan commented. Another posted, “Just spectacular!! Share a picture of you and your sister.”
In response to the Wilkings allegations against 7M Film Management, Miranda gave out a public statement. “I am not held against my will and I’ve never been a hostage,” Miranda said. “I go to church and I have faith in God. If one day I wish to pursue my faith elsewhere, I will and feel completely free to do that. As far as my career, my time at 7M Films has been one of the most exciting years ever and if one day I wish to partner with a different management company or start my own company, I will.”
