Andy Cohen always puts his children first— no matter what the drama is. The talk show host and Bravo producer has been very open about fatherhood since his first child’s birth and it’s so sweet to watch!
The host frequently shares photos of his children and his thoughts about fatherhood on social media. “Marking time through the filter of my children’s growth is blowing my mind at this later stage of my life,” the father of two posted on his daughter’s birthday. “Everything feels on double-time but it’s also, as @hodakotb says, right on time ♥️.”
Fatherhood also opened up the door to bond with the Real Housewives. He told Today, “One of the unexpected joys of my time with the Wives is that now, when we’re on breaks from reunions, we’re sitting there waiting, getting touched up and stuff, and we all talk about our kids and about parenting. It’s opened up a portal to the way they parent that I never used to care about very much, frankly.”

Meet Andy’s little loved ones below!
Benjamin Allen Cohen
Benjamin Allen Cohen is Andy Cohen’s first child. He was born via surrogate on Feb. 4, 2019. “WOW! “This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen… He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow,” he posted on Instagram shortly after his birth.
Shortly after his birth, Andy gushed about coming home to his son. “There is a comfort in knowing that he’s there waiting for me,” Cohen said. “I went out for my first night away from him, just for dinner with friends the other night, and I was sitting there and I realized, ‘Wow! I love it that he’s there at home for me.’ It’s an anchor. It’s my family. I was like, ‘I love this feeling.’”
Shortly after his second birthday, Ben accompanied his dad to his Hollywood Walk of Fame unveiling.
“Ben turns 2 today! He is my true delight and I can’t imagine life without him. ♥️” the Bravo-lebrity posted on Instagram.
He’s also kept his dad pretty grounded for his pretty hectic job. “If I go on Twitter at any given moment, it’s a battlefield about politics, or people telling me that I messed up a show completely, or that I’m this, that, or the other,” the host told Today. “But Ben today: I was like, ‘Ben, I love you.’ He goes, ‘However many stars there are in the sky is how much I love you.’ And I’m set for the day. I don’t give a f— what anyone’s saying about me on Twitter. This little boy loves me for as many stars as there are? The rest doesn’t really matter!”
Anderson Cooper’s son Wyatt was born shortly after Ben, and because of their father’s close friendship, the two became friends as well. “I go over to Anderson’s house every weekend and we hang out,” Andy responded. “And the boys have just kind of gotten to the point where they’re acknowledging each other, Ben hugs Wyatt and gives him a little kiss. Wyatt reached for him the other day.” Anderson added, “It was a big moment.”
Lucy Eve Cohen
Lucy Eve Cohen is Andy Cohen’s second child. She was born via gestational surrogate on April 29, 2022. “HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen!” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!! Her big brother can’t wait to meet her!”
Andy named his daughter after a special name in his family. “Louis is a big name in my family — two great grandfathers and my dad, all named Louis,” Cohen said on Watch What Happens Live. “So that’s where I got Lucy. I’ve always loved the name Lucy, by the way.”
After Ben’s birth, he emphasized that it was important to give him a younger sibling. He told The New Yorker as “an older dad,” “If something, God forbid, ever happened to me I don’t want to abandon him. So he and his sister will always have each other. And, by the way, of course I’m so glad I did it, and it’s wonderful, and she’s so cute. And I’m so glad I have a girl now,” he gushed.
The Bravo producer highlighted that parenthood has changed him and his priorities in a talk with People. “Just when I think I’ve had a lot of really quality time with Ben, I have to go to Lucy and sit with her and I just want to look in her face and I want her to see me and hear my voice and know that I’m here,” he explains. “It’s just about juggling time management with the two of them.”
For her 2024 Hannukah gift, Andy revealed that he went the extra mile to give her what she wanted for the holidays. “Lucy is not really asking for anything, but she’s very into Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck,” Andy told The Daily Dish. “I just Googled to find out where the Disney store is. I think I’m gonna bop up there and get her a bunch of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck stuff.”
