He’s one of cinema’s most popular rising stars and Harris Dickinson‘s dating history has been quite sparse. However, he’s been in love with the same person for quite a while and the two mesh together creatively and romantically.
Starring in acclaimed movies Triangle of Sadness and The Iron Claw, Harris Dickinson has cemented his status as a young heartthrob among moviegoers. The movie that is currently the talk of the town is Babygirl where he stars an intern who has a hot and heavy affair with the CEO played by Nicole Kidman. Dickinson has predominantly worked with women directors, telling IndieWire that it’s not solely a coincidence or on purpose. “I mean, I think that it’s somewhat been a mixture of both, and the people that I’ve connected with and stories they’re telling that I’ve connected with. I was raised predominantly by a single mom. I get along very well with women, I always have… I always found there’s a tenderness and an emotional intelligence [with women] that a lot of men often don’t come at things with.”
In addition to acting, Harris Dickinson pursues other creative endeavors, such as directing and producing. His best collaborator is his romantic partner, whom he’s known since his school days.
Who is Harris Dickinson’s girlfriend?
Rose Gray is Harris Dickinson’s longtime girlfriend. The two started dating while they were in school and live together in London with their cat. They are also frequent creative collaborators. Rose Gray is a musician and her debut album Louder, Please is coming out in January 2025. Dickinson has directed a lot of Gray’s music videos including “Afraid of Nothing.”
When it came to directing and collaborating, creativity fuels their relationship. “It’s also testing for a relationship because you’ve got to open yourself up to a different kind of dynamic,” Dickinson said in a joint interview in Hunger. “But it definitely helps with the closeness because you can get to things quicker without that sense of carefulness and trepidation around being offensive. We’re so close that we can just be very direct. And I think she was the same with me, where if I had a crap idea, she’d say, ‘No, we’re not doing that.’”
As for their visions, they certainly meld into each other. Dickinson recalled that “Rose had to rein me in a little. But we both complimented each other’s creative visions.” While Gray thought the same, “Harris brought an element of chaos and rawness that I’ve never had before in a video. I was able to lose myself completely. I love a pop girlie video, but Harris brought the cinema.”
According to Vogue, Rose Gray’s new album sounds like diaristic entries of her past year. “Lots of parties, lots of tears, a bit of heartbreak, a bit of heart-fixing,” she revealed. “I feel like there’s a few tracks on the record that sound a bit like falling back in love.”
